"summer" memories

As the temperature has crawled down to around 0C I'm coming to the realization that despite being miserable, we did have a bit of summer this year...

moving clouds

i was on my way home after a nice work with the dog at the dog park when i noticed that the sky had very defined clouds. i was driving towards a very interesting patterns only to find that from my back yard i could no longer see them. however, i saw this (see picture above). knowing that nature changes fast i did not take any changes of leaving my back yard but rather get my camera out quickly and shoot, shoot, and shoot. with a little help of photoshop (changing levels) , i'm happy with the end result.

strawberries

i'm not usually one to enjoy california grown strawberries, but this time i did. maybe because they inspired me to pick up the camera, maybe because i am so desperate for anything that reminds me of summer.

pumpkin/cream cheese muffin

rule #1 - make sure you have all the ingredients prior to starting your baking project.

although, breaking this rule creates some make shift solutions which in turns can produce some unexpected results. yum!

industrial

the dog park can offer some rather unique "art". i'm not too found of the fact that it is located in the backyard of a semi-industrial area. loads of crap around there, which may give some interesting pictures, but not a safe environment for my dog.

black dog / white snow

taking a picture of a black dog, lying in the white snow, after dark is not exactly the easiest challenge and I have by far not mastered in any ways. thank goodness for presents in adobe lightroom. i really should learn how to use adobe lightroom, but just like any other software the functions too many and my time too short. of course, it's a matter of prioritizing.

i find life to be about prioritizing, and to about compromising.
